Persistance

How many times can you fail, or get knocked down, and still be willing to pick yourself back up and try again? If there's one thing that I've learned from the game of baseball, it's how to deal with failure. In this game, you will fail the majority of the time you are playing it. For example, a hall of fame hitter in this game is only successful 3 out of 10 times. The best players in this game have a special ability to let go of the failure they just endured, no matter how many times, and step back up to the plate like nothing ever happened. Some call it "short memory", and the interesting thing about life is that the more you become accustomed to failure, the easier it becomes to deal with it, if you view it through the correct lens. As you can see, this is a very valuable mindset that is applicable to any aspect of life. What good does it do for one to dwell on their past failures and shortcomings. All it does is eat up your valuable time, and increase the odds that you will fail on your next attempt. Instead, it is important to let go of failure like it never even happened and fix your mind only on what you want to achieve, and how you can do it. Whether you are selling houses, asking a girl on a date, delivering speeches, or hitting baseballs, it is important to let failure come and go without attachment to it. Doing so will only increase your odds of achieving what you want.
